Sikorsky S-52 helicopter

The Sikorsky S-52 is an excellent four-seat helicopter with exceptional payload capacity, endurance and top-class comfort.
In 2008, General Motors’ LS7 V-8 engine was introduced as an optional alternative-fuel propulsion system. Having all-aluminum block and 7 liter volume, this engine develops 505 hp at 6300 rpm. However, in Sikorsky S-52 helicopter, LS7 engine operates only at 3200 rpm, at which it develops only 300 hp. The power rating of this power unit is lowered to 280 hp. The engine uses automotive fuel with an octane number of 93. Fuel consumption is 49.2 l/h, which allows the Sikorsky S-52 helicopter to provide a range of 700 km.
