Sikorsky S-52 – the first American helicopter with blades of all-metal construction and the first Sikorsky helicopter, which had a new combined hinge-hub, such hinges had almost all subsequent helicopters Sikorsky. Design improvements led to the possibility of converting from three to four-seat S-52-2 and back with a Franklin 0-425-1 engine rated at 245 hp and a four-anchor landing gear. The Orlando Helicopter Airways took an active part in the work on the helicopter, modifying and extending the service life of aircraft that fell into the hands of private owners.
